Therefore, before you select a flash dryer there needs to be a little bit of research on the different types before making the final buy.

At present, there are two popular types of flash dryers; namely, infrared and coil flash dryers which are usually preferred for treating the ink. Let us try to learn about their individual features and how they are different from each other.

Coil Screen Printing Dryer
This dryer variety comprise of a coil which looks almost similar to what you will see in your home oven. They are inexpensive and are seen as a valid solution for DIY, but are also rated notorious for holding “cold spots” amidst the coil pattern. As a result, it points out at two primary factors:

·         It takes a longer time to cure the prints.

·         The cold spots would leave certain parts of the printed design not entirely cured, thereby, leading to the cold spots purging whenever the garment is washed.

Hence, looking at these two factors professional screen printers do select the infrared version of flash dryers.
Infrared Flash Dryers
The flash dryers market is now dominated by infrared flash dryers, which are preferred by professional print shops. These dryers have a structure of a solid panel, usually black in color. Moreover, infrared flash dryers are slightly costlier as compared coil flash dryers, primarily due to the quality and proficiency they offer. It should be known that infrared flash panels present a very tightly looped series of wires, which produce even heat and remove cold spots.

For buyers, any of these two dryers can operate for your screen printing requirements. People who are already on a strict budget or have just started, they might want to opt for coil dryer. However, if all you care is quality, and consistency, then investing in an infrared flash dryer is the perfect thing to do.
